Shoulder pain for over 2 weeks now.? - shooting pain in rear shoulder blade

I had this sudden pain, as if sleeping in the wrong direction it feels. was not too bad until the last weekend. I feel my neck, had posterior deltoid and arm downward several times and have cramps in his arm, and my Pec. I was at the doctor and gave me a package of steroids for 6 days and some muscle relaxants, which do not feel anything. I have 2 days to the package and have not triggered until you get home from work. I said, it might be possible for my spinal cord or nerve damage. I want to see what the problem, but I am also an invalid who has filed with the VA. I have medical coverage, but I'll wait and see what happens next to the VA because I want to take my family mEDICAL X-ray and MRI. I am sure I have this pain because of lifting in the gym.
